This site has been set up in the memory of Gruffyd Ennion “Griff’ to all who knew him.

Griff started in his family business of Logan’s Patchwork Fabrics in 2000 and in a short time helped turned it into one of the countries leading retailers of quality fabrics and quilting tools. Managing his Craft Show stand for many years he was well known within the craft and quilting circles. His passion for the craft industry was unique to say the least and his devotion to his business was unstoppable. His business logic stood him out within the craft industry, his forward thinking was generally spot-on and just about every project he set his sights towards not only succeeded but most often excelled. His need for perfection was his only real flaw, that and he was always a little guilty of burning the candle at both ends! He successfully set up the patchworkfabrics.com.au website witch now dominates the internet as one of the best sources for quality unique fabrics, he was also responsible for the extensive mail-order division of the business, and the manufacturing and design of many unique quilting tools and products. Even with all this he managed to also run a wholesale side to the business which has for many years supplied quality patterns, tools and software’s to the industry.

Separate to his hectic work schedule Griff loved the very simple things in life, nature, friends and a nice cold beer, his down time generally consisted of travelling and discovering new places and history. He loved trekking, camping, kayaking, fishing and enjoying life. He was a ‘mate’ in the truest sense of the word, far from a saint yet honest, caring & true. A fun bloke to be around in any situation.

Griff had many fingers in many pies, In 2006 he teamed up with Roy Joseph to run the Quilt industry shows in Sydney and started to publish the first industry based newsletter for shops and wholesalers, this further planted Griff as a leader in the industry rather than a follower, his roles in these projects connected him with every aspect of the industry and gave him great recognition at such a young age amongst colleagues many years his senior. There was no challenge too big for Griff!

He devoted much time and money for different causes which he felt strongly about.

One of Griff’s last projects to get the ball rolling was the 1000 cranes for peace, his original vision has now been built on since his leaving us. You only have to look at the impressive list of companies taking part in this project to see the far reaching effect he had on everyone.

On behalf of Griff’s memory and vision we invite you to join the 1000 Cranes For Peace Challenge…….
